I am looking at another tattoo - this time something that speaks to my commitment to a lifestyle of non-violence (including my veganism). While one of the endpoints of my spirituality is visible in veganism, my belief in non-violence is even broader. I have, for example, been a pacifist since a teenager and this is as important as my veganism. So, I am thinking of a tattoo with the word “ahimsā”.
I have sent the following image to a local tattoo artist to get a booking for my next tattoo:
Ahimsā is a concept stretching back millennia and appearing in Hinduism, Buddhism and (most specifically) in Jainism. This expresses an important part of me and I am looking at having this tattoo on my forearm, where I can bear witness to this central value for me.
