Children of Time, Children of Ruin, Children of Memory
I bought the first book in this series, Children of Time, for my Kindle while I was travelling on holidays in Australia and read its almost 600 pages in three days. I haven’t read that voraciously since the 1990s. After finishing the first in the series, I immediately moved on to the second, Children of Ruin. Last night, I finished the third book, Children of Memory.
Adrian inspired me, through this series, to start my own book. I am a wee way through it and continuing on - thanks, Adrian!
Adrian has a grip of science and English vocabulary that is rare in my experience for an author in this genre. I am not accustomed, after twenty years of university, to looking up vocabulary, but Adrian’s command of English is exceptional and I found myself doing just that.
I don’t want to say too much about the multiple worlds Adrian developed in this trilogy, because you should read these books yourselves! I will say that there are spiders, octopuses, molecular monsters and so much more. Add these books to your collection, if you love sci-fi!
Finally, I expected the last of the series to not be up to the standards of the first two and this was not the case. The third book is as good (or perhaps even better) than the first two.
Kia kaha!
