My mother loved me!
She tried to get close to me,
but her love was not economically viable.
She tried to comfort me with her song,
but it was hard to hear for the screaming of others.
She tried to make eye contact,
so that I could see the love in her eyes,
but they made it so she could barely move.
She tried to soothe me,
when there was no one to soothe her.
She tried to protect me,
from an evil bigger than both of us.
She tried to shield me from the suffering,
until they bashed my head against the concrete while she watched.
My mother loved me.
